He was predeceased by: his parents, Jim Dawson and Ovene Dawson. He is survived by: his wife Nancy Carol Dawon; his children, Kellee Dawson McAnally (Casey) and Gregory Taylor Dawson (Lora); his grandchildren, Courtney Dawson (Sam Claiborne) and Daniel Taylor Dawson; his stepgrandchildren, Hayley McAnally Bray (Chris) and Zack McAnally (Samatha Dempsey); his great grandchild Elijah Bray; his siblings, Wilma Peoples (Dean) and Jimmy Dawson (Sylvia); his niece Heather Genera (Daniel); his nephews, Ken Dawson (Stacey) and Vince Peoples; his uncle Russell Belk; and his brother-in-law Bill Campbell.
