He was predeceased by: his wife Claudelle Hixson; his son John Hixson; and his sister Betty Jean Pearce. He is survived by: his daughter Dixie Hedrick (Steve); his granddaughter Sarah Hedrick; and his sister Margaret Ann Fairchild. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
