He was predeceased by: his parents, Maggie Cordelia "Deli" Daugherty and James Oscar "J. O." Mahoney; and his siblings, J. C., Junior, Euel Mahoney, Jenny Mahoney and Ruby Mahoney Dugan.
He is survived by: his wife Regenia F. Cordell Mahoney; his son Thomas Mahoney (Lynette); his granddaughter Kelsey Mahoney Layne (Jon); his stepgrandsons, John Farley (Brittany) and Tim Farley; and his brother Phillip. He is also survived by six great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren.
