She was predeceased by: her son James Franklin Turner II; and her parents, Lena Andrews and Frazier Andrews. She is survived by: her husband Franklin Turner; her daughters, Celena Lockhart (Jesse) and Melissa Mitchell (Jason); her sisters, Loretta Clemons and Susie Miller; and her grandchildren, Jessica Lockhart and Shelby Lockhart. She is also survived by several step grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, family request that memorial donations be made to the American Diabetes Association.
