She was predeceased by: her husband James W. Ewton; her parents, Clay Hartman and Etta Mabry Hartman; and her brothers, Ed, Frank and Lewis Hartman.

She is survived by: her sons, Larry Ewton (Terry) and William "Bill" Ewton (Tina); and her sister Rita Bess Land.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the general fund at Chapel Hill United Methodist Church.
