He was predeceased by: his parents, Dillard Layne and Flossie Layne; and his parents-in-law, Tank and Mae Underwood. He is survived by: his wife Loretta Underwood Layne; his children, Cassie Hamblen (Gary) and Blaine Layne (Mary); his grandchildren, Jaycee, Skye Hamblen, Tristan and Feriah Layne; and his sisters, Rita McDaniel (Clettis) and Leshia Raines (Jeff). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews; several sister-in-laws and brother-in-laws.
