With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Lamar Benton of Dunlap, Tennessee, born in Chattanooga, Tennessee, who passed away on September 24, 2023 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, W. C. Benton and Theda Benton; his son Chris Benton; and his sister Faye Walker. He is survived by: his wife Brenda Collins Benton; his sons, Mickey Benton and Bo Benton (Adriene); his grandchildren, Brannigan Broom (Jonathan), Collin Benton, Christopher Henderson (Christine), Allen Benton and Heather West (Zack); and his brother Lloyd Benton (Linda). He is also survived by 8 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
