She was predeceased by: her parents, Lawrence Hodges and Audrey Martin Hodges; her husbands, Joe Simmons and George Wagner; her son Joe Lawrence "Joey" Simmons; and her sister Linda Hodges Allen.
She is survived by: her daughter Renee Simmons Soldwedel (Brad); her parents-in-law, Joe Brandon, Wesley and Marilyn Simmons; her grandchildren, Wesley Simmons (Chloe), Joe Brandon Simmons (Courtney), Jennifer Hellmer (Josh) and Cory Schuren (Luke); her great grandchildren, Joe Brady Simmons, Garrett Daughtry, Madelyn Simmons, Tripp Simmons, Warren, Walter Hellmer, Savannah and Sawyer Schuren; and her great great grandchild Remy Daughtry.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 23rd 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Thursday, April 24th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Ewton Funeral Home & Cremation Center (6936 TN-28, Dunlap, TN 37327). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 24th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
Flowers will be accepted; however, she would also like memorial contributions to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
