“We are Boyd cousins in McMinnville, descendants of the original John Henry Harrison Boyd (1861-1924) whom was a nursery pioneer in the Cumberlands of Tennessee. Johnny’s Dad, cousin Clarence, named this son after his late uncle. We have been friends with Z. T. for many years and met his brother Johnny once. John was an impressive gentleman. I remember him as being tall and handsome. I understand that he was an accomplished musician and enjoyed performing. We admired our Dunlap cousins.”
