He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie D. Hatfield and Alfea Hatfield Brown; and his siblings, Will G. B. Hatfield, Willis Hatfield, Wilbert Hatfield, Tom Brown, Zo Brown and Nancy Watson.
He is survived by: his wife Sue Hatfield; his son John W. Hatfield of Jamestown; and his siblings, Norman Hatfield and Linda Doss of Dunlap. He is also survived by two granddaughters; five great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
