He was predeceased by: his parents, Chester Swanger and Ina Swanger; his brother Billy Bob (Glenda); his nephews, Ryan Swanger and Aaron Brown; and his brother-in-law Ronald Lewis.
He is survived by: his wife Peggy Swanger; his children, Renea Bradford (Timmy) and Creed Swanger (Charity); his grandchildren, Barretta Hudson (Cody), Zane Swanger, Luke Swanger and Jaysenda Boyd; his great grandchildren, Ryan Grimes, Wade Hudson, Tayla Bradford and Taner Bradford; his siblings, Martha Brown (Ed), Eddy Swanger (Glenda), Jerry Swanger (Judy), Gladys Lewis and Landon Swanger (Rita); and his nephew Daniel Davenport (Stacey).
In lieu of flowers the family request donations be given to the Gideons for Bibles.
