He was predeceased by: his parents, George Schroeder and Ada Schroeder; his former wife Ann Schroeder; and his sons, Mark and Tracy Schroeder.

He is survived by: his wife Shirley Scantlen Schroeder; his son Mike Schroeder (Sue); his granddaughters, Megan and Heather; and his great grandchildren, Jackson, Peyton and McKenzie.
