Gene Hixson Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Gene Hixson in Dunlap, Tennessee, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 10, 2025 at the age of 97. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Gene Hixson to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Stephen Hixson and Era Kelly Hixson; and his former wife Vivian Kell. He is survived by: his wife Linda Cox Hixson; his sister Gayle Thornton; his daughter Vallerie Greer (Mike); his grandsons, Steve (Rebecca) and John Greer (Kathryn); his great grandchildren, William, Margaret, Michael and Anna Greer; his stepchildren, Julia (Jim) and Kyle Barker (Courtney); his niece Gay Doherty; and his nephews, Donnie, John Kell, Steve, Mark Hixson and Bob Thornton.
A graveside service was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Chapel Hill Cemetery (5149 E Valley Rd, Dunlap, TN 37327).
