He was predeceased by: his son Billy Franklin Cross Jr.; and his stepson John Morris. He is survived by: his wife Janet Cross; his daughters, Sherry Owens (David) and Mindy Haywood (Stephen); his stepchildren, Dyan Caldwell and Robert Morris of Atlanta, GA; his grandchildren, Lucy, Clyde and Iris Haywood; and his sister Freida Stultz.
