He is survived by: his wife Victoria Cribbs Hammers; his mother Seretha Cagle Hammers; his siblings, Charles Hammers, Janie Lofty (David), Betty Lofty (George) and Shirley Hammers (James Lockhart); his nieces, Amy Hammers and Samantha Lockhart; and his nephew Jesse Hammers. He is also survived by several other nieces and nephews.
