He was predeceased by: his wife Viva Price Lewis; his parents, P. A. Lewis and Amanda Walling Lewis; and his siblings, Thomas, Hershel, John Henry, Maynard, J. T. Lewis, Grace Wise, Lola Mae Martin, Opal Ruth Boyd and Vina Lewis.
He is survived by: his sons, James Lewis (Dean) of Hixson and Kenneth Lewis of Dunlap; his grandson James Jr. Lewis (Lauren) of Soddy-Daisy; and his great grandchildren, Jensen of Soddy-Daisy, Delaney of Soddy-Daisy and Elizabeth Lewis of Soddy-Daisy. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and many other relatives and friends.
