He was predeceased by: his wife Inez Tabors; his daughters, Trevia Shipley and Patricia Jones; and his parents, Logan Alonzo Tabors and Sarah Edith McBee Tabors.
He is survived by: his daughters, Rita Jolly and Rosa Croft; and his sisters, Faye Dorland and Nancy Golden. He is also survived by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
