He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack Pursley and Una Pursley; and his siblings, Iva Joyce Pursley, Charles, Harold, Toby, Billy Joe and Jackie Pursley.
He is survived by: his wife LaVada Purlsey; and his sisters, Emma Allen of Georgia and Georgia James of Soddy-Daisy. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
