He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Simmons and Betty Simmons; and his sister Andrea Lovett (Wayne). He is survived by: his wife Joy Boynton Simmons; his children, Leah Herron (Keith) and Aaron Simmons (Lindsey); and his grandchildren, John Jackson Herron, Carolina Herron and Calloway Simmons. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
