He is survived by: his father Jerry Steakley Sr. of Jellico; his daughters, Teasa Ulrich (Bert) of Coalfield and Hillary Steakley (Michael) of Sevierville; his brother Jerry Steakley Jr. (Loretta) of Harriman; his grandchildren, Alika, Boyd and Samuel; his nephew Daniel; and his niece Sammie Jo. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
