He was predeceased by: his parent Finney Jackson; his brother Vernon Jackson; and his son Tony Laneil Jackson. He is survived by: his children, Robert Jackson (Tanja) of Drummonds, Darlene Pilkington (Johnny) of Munford and Anita Hogeland (Mark) of Covington; his stepchildren, Tim Wells, Kevin Wells, Resa Harkness, Billie Ann Smith and Amy Dickinson; and his brother Stanley Jackson. He is also survived by 22 grandchildren and 41 great grandchildren.
