He is survived by: his parents, James Ward, Jr. (Paulette) and Linda Bullock (Billy); his children, Whitney Mesa, Kelsey Ward, Ethan Ward and Tyler Ward; his grandmother Opal Simpson; his sister Teresa Short; his half-sister Chrystal Helmbeck; and his stepsisters, Joli Anne Smith and Shawn Clark Greene. He is also survived by five grandchildren.
