She is survived by: her sons, John McAlister (Tricia) of Dresden, TN and Kirk McAlister (Laura) of Cookeville, TN; her stepdaughter Cindy Duncan (Terry) of Nashville, TN; and her siblings, Tony Thompson (Jerita) of Dresden, TN, Tim Thompson (Melinda) of Dover, TN, Mary Burnham (David) of Dukedom, TN, Brenda Workman of Fulton, KY and Sharlyn Williams (Rupert) of Murray, KY. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
