He was predeceased by: his parents, Leroy Fulcher and Anna Louise Chappell. He is survived by: his wife Judy Smith; his sons, Kyle Smith and Michael Baldwin; his sister Patty Hastedt; his grandchildren, Grayson Smith and Kaylee Smith; and his nieces and nephews, Michelle Bachmeyer, Annie Jaynes, Robert Bergquist and Konrad Bergquist.
