He is survived by: his spouse Mary Nell Watford Gilbert; his children, John Kevin Gilbert (Sandra), Kimberly Graham (Jason), Kathy Hawkins (Nathan) and Carla Murney (John); and his siblings, Bud T. Gilbert, Mike Gilbert and Faye Hill. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
