He was predeceased by: his parents, Van Hallums and Virginia Mildred Gibbs Hallums. He is survived by: his wife Levonda Hallums; his children, Theresa Price (Thomas), James Ronald Hallums Jr. and Heidi Roberts (Ronald); his granddaughters, Heather Yates (Ross), Virginia Hallums, Hailey Will (Sean) and Katelynn Cole (Phillip); and his great grandchildren, Maebry Yates, Ryan Yates, Collin Will and Hadley Cole.
In Lieu of flowers, the family ask that contributions be made in James's name to Vanderbilt Children Hospital, who saved the life of his great-grandson, Collin.
