We are sad to announce that on January 30, 2024, at the age of 93, Marie Christena Laxton of Dowelltown, Tennessee, born in Oneida, Tennessee passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Cordell and Carrie Leona Hale Watters (Lothery Laxton); and her brothers, Walter Cordell Watters, Jr., Jennings Watters, Mearl Watters and Carlos Watters.

She is survived by: her children, Gary Laxton (Roxane), Charles Laxton (Junghee), Carrie Darata (Paul) and Lonnie Laxton (Denise); her sisters, Freda McDonald and Janie King; and her grandchildren, Logan, Morgan, Laura, Camille, Stephanie, Amber, Wendy, Sarah, Holly, Joseph, Gina, Claire Leona, Jennifer, Katherine, Amanda and Steven. She is also survived by 23 great grandchildren.
