He was predeceased by: his parents, John R. King and Myrtle Sanders King; and his daughter Tina Phillips. He is survived by: his wife Bobbie King of Dowelltown; his daughters, Patricia Butcher of Dowelltown and Peggy King of Smithville; his grandchildren, Joshua Crook, Haley Butcher, James King, Jordan Crook and E. J. Enlow; his great grandchildren, Paisley Crook, Noah Crook, Emma Crook, Addison King, Reanna King and Millie King; and his sister Tennie Rigsby of Chattanooga.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to DeKalb Funeral Chapel to help with funeral expenses, in memory of Mr. King.
