He was predeceased by: his parent Ruby Dimple Martin; his grandparents, Retta "Maude" Hensley Martin and James "Ted" Martin; and his siblings, Ricky Davis and Donna Temple Watson.

He is survived by: his children, Lisa Honeycutt, Garry Lee Martin, Jr. and Tabitha Martin; his grandchildren, Kimberly Honeycutt, Alexis Bennett and Abel Vickers Martin; his great grandchild Peyton Smith; and his siblings, Nancy Davis Baker and Don Davis.
