He was predeceased by: his parents, Leroy Burton and Alberta Thomas Burton. He is survived by: his wife Melissa Black Burton; his daughter Tabitha Bates (Casey); his siblings, Jerry Burton, Mary Nesbit, Ruth Rettig and Rita White; and his grandson Bates of Montana.
