She was predeceased by: her parent Thomas McGovern; her husband Clarence Mathis; her son Bracy Mathis; and her siblings, Brandon McGovern, Bradford McGovern, Lizzie Earheart, Margaret Melton, Susie Mae Wallace, Georgie McGee and Isabelle Milliken.
She is survived by: her parent Gertie Atkins McGovern; her sons, Neal Mathis (Ruth), Tommy Mathis (Debbie), Ricky Mathis and Ronnie Mathis (Melanie); her daughter-in-law Beth Mathis of Big Rock, TN; and her sister Everee Lane of Dover, TN. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, and nine great-great grandchildren.
