He is survived by: his parent Ethel Sexton Cherry; his wife Ruth Atkins Cherry; his sons, Dale Cherry and Terry Cherry; his brother Alfred Mann; and his grandchildren, Anthony Cherry, Johnathan Cherry and Lindsey Cherry. He is also survived by two great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
