He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Ryan and Mildred Ryan; his former wife Ruth Ryan; his son Kenneth Ryan; and his sister Rose Lakner.

He is survived by: his wife Rebecca; his children, Paul (Sue), Michael (Debra), Daniel, Barbara Sees (Scott) and Kathleen Gib (James); his stepdaughter Melissa McElhone (James); his brother William Ryan (Donna); and his brother-in-law John Lakner. He is also survived by 20 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
