She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernest Hinson and Ruth Matthews Hinson; her husband John C. Daves; and her children, Harvey Otis Griffin, Jr. and Bonnie Gean Daves.

She is survived by: her children, Gary D. Griffin, Randall Daves, Robin Adams of Dover, TN, Sharon Stinson and Vicky Kennedy; and her sister Octavia Eyers of Dover, TN. She is also survived by several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.
