She was predeceased by: her parents, Archie Armstrong and Ruby Armstrong (Lee) of Dickson, Tennessee.; her son Christopher Story; her husband Charles Story of Charlotte; her parents-in-law, Roger and Mable Story; her siblings, Ralph, Buford, Billy Armstrong, Marjorie Hale and Betty Hudson; and her grandson Keith Story.
She is survived by: her children, Sheila Buchanan (Roger) of Bartlett, Rickey Story (Maria) of Dickson, Frankie Story (Loretta) of Southside, Mickey Story (Lesa) of Jacksonville and Scott Story (Audrey) of Charlotte; her grandchildren, Anthony (Jennifer), Rachel (Corey), Robert (Tiwasha), Richard, Etta, Russell (Ashley), Randy, Jennifer (Cory) and Samantha; and her brother Jerry Armstrong. She is also survived by 17 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, April 21st 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM, on Tuesday, April 22nd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Wednesday, April 23rd 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Spann Funeral Home (1961 Hwy 48 N, Dickson, TN 37055). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, April 23rd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, April 23rd 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM at the Greenwood Cemetery.
