He was predeceased by: his father George Overton, Sr.; his wife Sheila; his mother Laura Fossie Overton Blue; his stepfather Robert I. Blue, Sr.; and his siblings, Bettina Overton and George Overton, Jr. (Sheila Martin Overton).

He is survived by: his siblings, Benny Overton of Dickson, TN, Lori Tyson (Darrel) of Dickson, TN, Cecilia Grimsley of Dickson, TN, Robert Blue, Jr. (Anita) of Clarksville, TN, Randy Blue (Sylvia) of Brentwood, TN., Fiancé and Dwan Nelson of Dickson, TN; his uncle Marvin Fossie; and his aunts, Delois Fossie of Dickson and Bettie Robertson of Columbus, OH. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
