He was predeceased by: his mother Odell Frazier; his wife Elaine Spann Kimbro; his father Loyd Kimbro; and his sister Rita Kimbro Miller. He is survived by: his daughter Vickie Kimbro Pritchett; his grandchildren, Jenna Pritchett and Tanner Pritchett (Tori); his brothers-in-law, Vollie Miller (late Rita) and Donnie Spann (Carolyn); and his nieces, Keri Howell (Joel) and Carla Spann.
In lieu of flowers, family requests donations be made in Rex's memory to the Kimbro Cemetery Fund c/o Sue Buckner, or Common Voices, an advocates' coalition determined to create a Fire Safe America.
