He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Johnson and Geneiva Grissom Johnson; and his brother Harold Johnson. He is survived by: his grandchildren, Colter May, Jace May, Hunter Donegan, Garrett May and Shelbee Donegan. He is also survived by his three children.
