She was predeceased by: her parents, Claude Thomas and Cornelia Potts Brown; her son-in-law Matt Derrick; and her siblings, Joe Brown and Rita Pendergrass.

She is survived by: her daughter Jane Derrick of Dickson, TN; her brother Charles Thomas Brown of Lawrence, TN; and her granddaughters, Elizabeth Derrick Redwine (Chris), Caroline Derrick and Anna Clare Derrick.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Arthritis Foundation.
