He was predeceased by: his parents, Ruby Burklow Vaughn and Jesse Dalton Vaughn, Sr.; and his siblings, Joyce Hardiman, David Vaughn, John "Billy" Vaughn, Douglas Vaughn and Wayne Vaughn.

He is survived by: his wife Joyce Sullivan Vaughn of Dickson, TN; his daughters, Laura Cantrell (Frank) of Nashville, TN. and Susan Brown (Charlie) of Nashville, TN.; his granddaughters, Chelsea Stanfill, Casey Stanfill, Kylie Stanfill, Caroline Brown and Lydia Brown; his great grandchildren, Lillian Stanfill of Nashville, TN., Sofia Sarmento of Nashville, TN., Camden Chambers of Nashville, TN. and Easton Sarmento of Nashville, TN.; and his siblings, Dalton Vaughn of Dover, TN, Randall Vaughn (Susanna) of Goodlettsville, TN, Rosalyn Moss (Donald) of Mt. Juliet, TN, Sharon Stone (Dennis) of Jacksonville, FL and Carmen Adkisson of Kingston Springs, TN. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
