She was predeceased by: her parents, Lee Batey and Mary Nola Hayes Batey; her husband Ealon Jerome Matheny; and her son Ronald Jerome "Ron" Matheny. She is survived by: her daughter-in-law Becky Durlock of Centerville, TN; and her grandchildren, Ealon Matheny (Denise) of Lyles, TN, Christina Mays of Dickson, TN and Stephanie Duncan (Barton) of Lyles, TN. She is also survived by 7 great grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
