He is survived by: his wife Peggy Donegan (Harrell); his children, Bret Donegan (Shielah) of Bon Air, GA and Cheryl Pierce (Mitchell) of Dickson, TN; his grandchildren, Dean L Donegan, Ashlee Michelle Golden (Josh), Mitchell Thomas Pierce II (Meda) and Ian Gray Donegan; and his great grandchildren, Angelina Marie Donegan, Lillian Marie Pierce, Lainee Grace Golden and Benjamin Walker Pierce.
