He was predeceased by: his parent Mother Pearl Evans; his son Larry Dudley Evans; his sisters, Estella Overton, Georgia Springer, Beatrice Grimes and Marion Evans; and his friends, Harry Holt and Alton Horner.
He is survived by: his wife Lucille Primm; his daughters, Judy Evans (Tyrone) and Malinda Evans Scott (Warren); his grandchildren, Kamal, Kaia and Kahlil; his great grandchildren, Trevon, Xavier, Aaliyah, Kamal Jr., Nevaeh, Imani, Ethen, Kierra and Dominiq; his siblings-in-law, Billy Ray Bell, Albert, Ronnie, Fred Primm, Terry Ann, Shirley, Emma and Pam Primm; his friends, Joe Joe Strickland, Rhonall Mallory, Garry Hardison, Michael Grigsby, Miss Eubanks, Tony Patton and Jimmie Walker; and also, Nick and Mandy King.
