Joyce Turnage Tidwell Obituary

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Joyce Turnage Tidwell (Dickson, Tennessee), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 26, 2025. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, George Lee Turnage and Georgette "Georgie" B. Schumaker Turnage; her husband Mason Tidwell; her daughter Karen Couch; and her siblings, George Turnage Jr. and Grace Cole.

She is survived by: her children, Sharon Renois (David) of Belleville, IL and Kenneth Tidwell (Winona) of Cahokia, IL; her grandchildren, Justin Couch, Cory Renois, Kerry Currens, Randy Currens, Benjamin Currens and Nick Tidwell; her sister Patricia Williams (Dave) of Indianapolis, IN; and her adoptive daughter Christy Groves. She is also survived by 4 great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, friends.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Chapel of the Taylor Funeral Home (214 N Main St, Dickson, TN 37055). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 1st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
