He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Travis and Alma Travis; his daughter Wendy Dawn Travis; and his brothers, Nelson and Howard Travis.
He is survived by: his wife Rita Travis of Dickson; his son James Travis Jr. of Dickson; his siblings, Bobby Travis (Ann) of Dickson, William Travis of Charlotte, Roberta Sutton of Southside, Helen Wall (Bill) of Charlotte and Diane Hayes (Billy) of Dickson; his grandson Hunter Travis; and his great grandchild Lincoln Travis.
