He was predeceased by: his parents, James Ralph and Stella Evelyn Thacker Stiltner; his brother Dean Stiltner; and his parents-in-law, Bruce and Margaret Deel.

He is survived by: his wife Theda Stiltner of Dickson; his sons, Jonathan Stiltner (Dana) of Houston, TX, Nathan Stiltner (Katie) of Dickson and Derek Stiltner (Stephanie) of Centerville; and his siblings, Pete Stiltner (Joan) of Big Rock, VA and Joyce Rice of Grundy, VA. He is also survived by grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
