He was predeceased by: his parents, Gertrude Baugus Bass and Bonnie L. Bass; and his siblings, Sarah Joe Wharey, Thomas Bass, Frank Bass, Robert Bass and James Bass.
He is survived by: his wife Anne Bass of Dickson; his children, Susan Johnson (Jay) and John Bass (Belinda); and his grandchildren, Will Johnson, Chris Johnson, Laura Bass and Allen Bass.
