As James Monroe departs from our midst, his spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved James Monroe. Though James Monroe may no longer walk beside us, his legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Eli Duncan and Dorothy Miles Duncan. He is survived by: his children, Eli Duncan (Rhonda), Jamie Taylor Duncan (Ty Wales) and Meagan Duncan; his grandchildren, Shelby Stephens and Emma Duncan; his brother David Duncan (Linda) of Santa Fe, NM; and his brother-in-law Bryan Edens (Laura).
Visitation was held on Monday, April 7th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Tuesday, April 8th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Spann Funeral Home (1961 Hwy 48 N, Dickson, TN 37055). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 8th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location.
