With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James Edwin Pirtle of Dickson, Tennessee, who passed away on January 24, 2024 at the age of 74. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Elizabeth "Liz" Cagle Pirtle and Jesse James "Dutch" Pirtle; and his wife Sylvia Pirtle. He is survived by: his nephew Tommy Bradley (Jessica) of McEwen, TN; his great-nephews, Tommy Bradley of Dickson, TN and Josh Bradley of Clarksville, TN; his close friend Sissy Craig of McEwen, TN; and his pet Midnight.
