She was predeceased by: her parents, Vernie Allen and Ruthie Agnes Averitte Hassell; her spouse Russell Beard; her son Walter Edward Powell, Jr.; and her siblings, J. V. Hassell, Bobby Hassell, Walter T. Hassell, Chuck Hassell and Carlene Hassell.
She is survived by: her children, Melinda Wright (Ronald), Douglas England and Wayne Powell (Nita Kay); her granddaughters, Johanna Powell (Jacob Matthews), Rhonda Booker (Jerry), Brenda Powell and Amy Longtin; her great grandchildren, Charleen Schmidt, Charlie Ortiz Powell, Zach Longtin and Mason Booker; and her great great grandchildren, Chandler Schmidt and Charlotte Schmidt.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, February 18th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Chapel of the Taylor Funeral Home (214 N Main St, Dickson, TN 37055). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, February 18th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
